I will be doing my struts after the Christmas Holidays I noticed today that on my 95 J30T my Right rear has a standard coil spring and the left rear has an optionalspring per the color codes on the below chart.

My questions is which one is correct or is this correct?

Have I been driving something dangerous?

The difference is 8 pounds per inch, however note the spring freelength is -0.8" different [16.1 vs 16.9] do the math with 8" of spring compression as nominal...................8x8 =64 pounds 0.8 x 123= 98 pounds.

Probably necessary to level [balance the car] whats 34 pounds or 0.3" in the grand scheme of things.

After these many years the springs won't test anywhere near new in the first place.

Remember the sole purpose of springs is to hold the body up.
