Hey guys.. as with many of you.. my favourite car that I have owned has been a '93 Infiniti J30T. I've had it for 4 years now going on 5 and although we've had our ups and downs.. the marriage is still going strong.

I'd like to spruce the lady up with some diamonds for our anniversary.. since she is definately worth it, and has turned me onto Infiniti vehicles forever.

I have searched the forums and have found a lot of if's and or maybe's... but nothing too solid about what lights people are safely using on their J30's and any other similar visual/performance enhancements they have done to them.

Let's first start out with lights.. I would like both High/Low beam, Side/Signal lights done with white or blue xenon.. or whatever is recommended.

Please list any all parts/websites/tools you've used to get your white/blue lights in your J30.. and feel free to suggest/brag about any amazing mods.. would be awesome to have a thread that each J30 owner detailed everything they've done to "pimp their ride"

Thanks ahead of time guys, keep up the great Forums!!!

I'll Start

93 J30T - Canadian Model - (I know.. I'll check the running daytime lights)220 km - yowsers!

Upgrades-Upgraded Computer system for 10+HP-Sony CDX-MP80 - http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/SONCDXMP80

That's it.. sad I know.. so help me out!!!

Lights 1st!!!

Where is Canada are you?

220km isn't all that much. I've got 130k miles of mine and it runs like a top.

There isn't all that much in the after market for the J as you have probably dicovered. Fellow member Diamond has done some extensive mods on his J spending beaucoupe $ doing it and has garnered some awards along the way. He put a 4.08 rear end in his among other things like a totally custom suspension.

I'd love to get the Canadian DRLs. Unless you want to spend some big bucks retrofitting for HID headlights, try the Sylvania Silver Star bulbs. Members say good things about them and I'm just waiting for one of my EOM bulbs to burn out. Avoid the blue tinted bulbs. They actually reduce the light output.

Welcome to the club.

Awesome.. I lived in Winnipeg for about 5 years and that's where I bought my J30T from.. an avid Home mechanic Jim Melsted

It's funny that people down here think Bob and Doug MacKenzie were unique. Hardly! In the 70s & 80s every high school in Canada had at least a dozen Bob and Dougs. They were gradually replaced by Wayne and Garth in every high school by the late 80s early 90s.

Back on point: Silverstars seem to be the consenus around here. Some of the other J guys will chime in eventually.

If you want to drop some bucks, replace your shocks. You'll be amazed at the difference.

Welcome.

I'm another hoser.......too bad the J's can't hold a large Tim's double doube cup in that cup holder thing.

As for lights, if you want to go a little cheaper you can get Sylvania Cool Blue's at any Crappy Tire store's. Make sure to match up voltage or you'll blow the DRL modules.
