Last night while driving, I 've noticed that my right front suspension

was gettting very hard. So I stopped the car and looked.

Well, it looks as if the right front suspension had dropped like a low-rider!!!

If strut is bad, should it drop like that and stay dropped?

I've alway thought it was the spring that holds the weights of the vehicle.

Any inputs will be appreciated... Thanks!!!

yeah itd be the spring that is bad.. If the strut blows it will just get really bouncy (nothing to control the spring)... Just geta used one, i bet someone on here has a used one!

Thanks elwesso for a quick reply and here is what I've noticed this morning.

It's back up to normal height again this morning all by itself!

I then bounced it with my weight and it dropped again... couple of hours

later, it's back up! Any ideas?

Thanks again in advance.

So, should I replace the entire strut assembly or just a insert/cartridge?

You should have a suspension shop check over the car's front end. It's too soon to start pitching (expensive) parts at it. Pay to have an experienced professional diagnose and hopefully pinpoint what's failing. It's the end that steers. It's not trivial stuff you can just barge through and fix quick and cheap.
