ive seen the same post similar post at least multiple times but no definitive answer. when i got my '97 j30t the bose head unit cd player did not work so i took it to a place that installs stereos and they installed my pioneer super-tuner. i asked them about the rear speakers and the antenna which were both not working. they didnt know much about what to do with the rear speakers @ thee time. ive downloaded the manual does anyone know wheres the stereo info w/ in the manual? or what for me to check to see if these speakers are working? THANKS

All the OEM Bose speakers have their own amp. That's why a scosche adapter is needed to bring down the gain to each speaker if a aftermarket unit is installed. It sounds like the harness they used wasn't correct ??The rears should work but be distorted because of the amp issue.Note the Bose System uses 1 Ohm speakers while most aftermarket systems use 4 ohm.
