J30s for sale?

Long time no see, you all! I have a feeling that this isn't the correct place to be posting this but I'm not too sure where else to. I was wondering could any of you recommend good websites to find used cars? I usually use craigslist, cars.com, autos.yahoo.com and thats about all. I'm back to looking for a J30 here in Texas (preferably a black one!) Keep a look out for one, Texans. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving! Glad to be back on the site.

Also, I've been having this idea of once I find one I like, I'd like to take it to a mechanic and have them do a check on it. How exactly might I request that from the seller though? Specially if it's the owner, I can't really think of how to bring that up...

Just tell the seller, you would like to take it for a mechanical inspection. Some sellers would let you take the car, others may accompany you.

Well Yoda, lets just say it's a long story lol. I'm hoping whoever the seller is they'll allow it. I suppose if I was them, I'd be a bit iffy too about letting a stranger take my car. As of right now i'm not finding very many in shape J30s but I'm still looking. And i'm going to have to take you up on your offer, Lineup!

keep in mind these cars are at least 14 years old finding one in mint condtion is going to take some time and if the seller dont want you to take the car for inspection have them drive it down there and ride with'em if they wanna sell it and have nothing to hide they will

the guy i bought my 94 from just handed me the key and told me to drive it around his neighborhood and let him know what i thought. def check to see if they kept good records of everything they had done to the car.

Shes got 220k and a few blemishes, but I just did the timing for the second time since I've had her, & she runs strong, all injectors firing. I'd drive her anywhere, fast.

-- Thx yoda, I'd say she's in good shape for her age/mileage, there are a few warts on her from being a daily driver tho, some dents, some rust, you know. Mechanically, sound as a pound.

-- Puck, yeah I'm serious, my goal is one of two things: Sell my J and get my wife back into an Acura, or find a newer J30. One with less miles, move over all my stuff, the G rims, conical filter, and xflow exhaust, and sell the old one stock for around a grand. So yeah, either buy mine, or sell me yours, ha.

Whenever I decide to sell my J I'll let you know. Its been too good to me so far and I'm not ready to part with it quite yet. At the same time, I am occasionally looking at newer cars with better gas mileage that do better in the snow. Like I said, I'll let you know if I ever decide to sell it. I'd prefer to sell it to someone that will appreciate it.
