My daughter parked her 1994 J30 for about 10 days while she was visiting friends in Cali. After returning, she tried to start her car. It turned over fine, we hear the fuel pump come on, but the car will not hit a lick. We thought it might be out of gas. We added gas, let the fuel pump prime the injectors but, still no luck.

Where should I start in diagnosing the problem? My daughter really needs to have this car running.

Thanks,Dave in NC

Thanks for the info. What is the flooding procedure?

Try unhooking the battery for a day, then hook up and crank for up to 10 seconds at a time.

Holding the pedal to the floor and keep cranking till she fires.

Thanks. The "flood procedure" or pushing the pedal to the floor and cranking until it fires worked. Of course, to anyone else having the same problem, don't crank over 10 or 15 seconds as it is hard on the starter.

Thanks again to all those who responded for the help.
