Guys, I had the noise problem in the rear passenger side window. It was coming only half way down and up (with hand help) and making that annoying noise. Since it was moving, I though the motor was ok so I bought only the new regulator. I removed all the panels and finally reached the motor and regulator. I put the new regulator. I tested. It looks like it is going all the way down. But at the end of its way and at the beginning of its way, it is still making that noise. I didnt put them back in. Is it going to be ok when I put them back. Or is it the motor? Motor works fine when I push the window button down/up.Carlos, did you realize that happening when you were fixing yours? I have no idea what is going on. I left the car with that window open. Do I need a new motor? or there is something to do as an extra? It doesnt know when to stop.

I think we talked on email. But if not, the problem is that your motor needs to be replaced as well.

The main gear inside the motor is plastic and a bad regulator can cause the gear's teeth to break off. It happened to both of my passenger-side window motors.

The symptom would be a growling noise as the motor spins. The growling sound is caused by the stripped gear trying to "grab" the motor's spinning rod/shaft.

However, the plastic gear and motor are enclosed within the power window motor assembly. You can't just buy a new plastic gear. It comes in one piece.
