I just bought a '93 J30t. I found the bolt pattern as 5 x 114.3, is this correct? What is the recommended offset? Is it true that wheels from I30/Q45 all years will fit? And finally, I've read here about weight issues of the Q on rims, does this apply to J's as well? Thanks for the info.

http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....nions do a search also. I have been thinking of getting the G35 6 spoke wheels from ebay. They look sweet as you can see in the photoshop i did in that thread.

Well if that photoshop image isn't working for you, here are the same G35 rims on an actual J (mine:D ).

one more question. Do you need a speedo adjustment when putting on these wheels and tires?

Speedo/Odometer is off 4.8% using 225/50/17. So far, I've been told no and maybe regarding if the speedo can be adjusted. Two different times at the Infiniti parts department there were two different people. One said that maybe the actual gears of the sensor could be changed but would have to go aftermarket. The other said it is controlled electronically but could not be changed. My mechanic said he doesn't have the time to look for the gears if it is possible and said that to electronically adjust it would require the entire ecu being reprogrammed. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this issue because I would like to know if it is possible and if so, how and how much would it cost. Althought 4.8% seems pretty small, I would still like there to be a possibility of the speedo being adjusted. I would like to know the exact speed I'm going but I really want to know how far my trips are going so I more accurately calculate mpg.

Hmmm...so if its off 4.8% does that mean if your speedo is reading 55 you may actually be going either about 58 or 52? How does it effect the odometer reading?

Speedo is 4.8% slow. That means when it reads 60, I'm actually going about 63. The circumference is larger with the 225/50/17 (versus 205/60/25) which means more distance per revolution. So with odometer and trip meter, you would've travelled more than what it says.

So you would put more miles on the car then the odo would read if you didnt get the things reset? How hard were the wheels to get on?

Yea, more miles than it would say because more distance per revolution of the wheel. The wheels weren't hard to get on. Just jacked the car up, took the old wheels off, put the new ones on, and bolted everything tight. I was using the original lug nuts so it took a while to put the nuts in and get it started. I just came back from the dealership and got a bag of chromed lug nuts (the caps - the ones you would see on a G35 in the showroom) which are deeper so should be much easier to move wheels in and out (plus they look better). Overall, the wheels weren't hard to get on, just like the original wheels except a bit heavier. And when I first put them on (the front), I had to get down under the car to make sure everything fits just fine and won't rub.
