J30 vs. M45 Front Strut Assy

Are they the same strut in size?

For a long time I'm looking for a cheaper way to buy new strut, cause Coilovers is to expensive.

Please need some help, because if the parts are the same, my friend gave me a pair of new strut of 2003 INFINITI M45

In the diagram they look exactly the same in visual.

please I appreciate the help.

Do the part #''s match ?
I doubt they are the same.
Seems the J suspension is the Infiniti red headed step child.
Other than OEM, Fabbing is required.

No problem.
If you search for Swimsharks post on struts you will get a idea of the options.
Also the 240Zx rear struts do bolt right in without fabbing.

The J30 and the M35 do not use the same part.

About anything can be "Fabricated" to fit , But believe me.
Nothing but OEM will bolt right in.
As I said before, the 240sx rears will bolt right in, but in the front you must fabricate or bite the bullet and pay for OEM strut cartridges.
Do a search here and you will see a few different ways to do it.

They are selling Nissan Cedric/Gloria (Y32 Chassis) COILOVERS that our J30 is based of, please let me know if you think they will fit in the J.

But for the price of those coilovers why not just order OEM j30 strut cartridges and all the rubber stuff and be done with it ?
