You can have the same options most likely, except the options are just like the 94 ECU. The J30 ECU is basically the same as the 94 Q's, so you can only have 2 programs... Normal/valet or something like that..

The J30 ECU will NOT be as advanced/hi-tech as the Q45 ECU is (since he cant dyno test and theres not as much demand) but it will definitely be as good as JWT for much less money.. Probably better than JWT...

Basically we're going to use the JDM fuel maps (thats calibrated for higher octane gas) and then we're gonna make our own timing maps... Should make for a nice ECU!\

I dont know if I would trust any untested ECU, is there any way to get a member that lives close by to do some dyno tests?

There may be, but like I said, his program will be completely safe, i would personally trust his tuning abilities... Lets say that the factory leaves 20% safety in, his normal program cuts it down to about 7-10% maybe..... If I recall correctly, the first program he made me was not dyno tested at first..... he made the more advanced program that I am currently running on the dyno...

So you obviously agree that a dyno tested program is much better.

Where is this guy located?

He's in LA... Im not 100% sure how my program worked out or not, he may have dyno'd to begin with but the Q45 base is a LOT bigger... We've sold i think about 35 NICO ECU for the Q, i doubt we'll do 1/2 that...

bottom line we simply arent going to make the J30 program as advanced as the Q45 program is.....

Can someone educate a noob like me? What options are present in the custom ECU that aren't in the factory one?

Depends on how the ECU works... it just so happens the J30 ECU is identical to the 9495 Q45 ECU.
