J30 Turn Signal Flasher

I have a 93 J30 and ran into a problem I can't figure out. Recently my turn signals were intermittent now they do not work. Also my hazard lights do not work. I have tried squeezing myself under the dash/ steering column area but nothing under there looks like the typical turn signal flasher unit. Does the J30 have a turn signal flasher unit? If so where is it located? Or a relay and its location? I have checked the fuses they are good. And just for the heck of it I changed the hazard switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You checked the bulbs right?

Like Dominick said - first thing to check is the bulbs. Sounds like you've probably already replaced them if you've tried all those other options. Let us know.

Yeah just checked the bulbs again. they are all good.

Get Wes to email you the J30 FSM and look for that relay like he suggested.

I got that from Wes and wouldnt ya know it doesnt have the fuse box diagram !!! OOiy !!!But it does have about everything else I need ..

Theres only 3 thigns it can be... The bulbs/sockets, the relay or the switch, assuming the wiring is not severed somewhere.....

I just gota fax back from the local Infinity dealership. Its the wiring diagram for the turn signal system unfortunatley, the quality of the fax isn't too clear. It doesn't have a very detailed location of the underhood relay. Can you tell me exactly where it is....Thanks for the info.

Heres what I found after digging through the FSM...

Theres a combination flasher control unit apparently (my guess its just a big relay)... it controls the timing for the keyless entry, hazards, and things like that... basically it controls the high voltage part of the bulb in the corner lights and the rear lights.....

This is really the only thing in the wiring diagram that I found of use... I scoured it as well...

Aww hell while we're at it might as well post the wiring diagram as well..... hopefulyl someone else can use this..

FYI i will probably upload all these onto my website, as i have a TON of q45 and J30 snippits from the FSM, but I always post them in threads. Attaching them assures that they wont be lost, because we lost some pictures in photopost and also i dont trust outside hosting services..

Mine has the layout of the fuses/relays on the inside of the cover ..(Under the Hood)Sure wish the one on the inside fuse box was labled !!!
