J30 transmission swap
can I use a transmission from a 300z or maxima for my 94 j30? If so, is it limited to certain years or models. Thanks in advance, Jason

RE4R01A is the correct transmission [90-96 300zx RWD non turbo] obviously a FWD Maxima unit won't work.

old topic i know but i just researched it. 300zx and j30 same, but with different accumulators, meaning the shift points will be different. these can be swapped.

Performance vs luxary shift and differences in potenial heavier weight in fully loaded J30. Not material unless you are buying brand new remanned from dealer.
