j30 transmission shift

My 1997 J30 has 66600 miles, at 52000 I changed the fluid transmission for Mobil I ATF. Every morning when the engine and transmission are cold, the shift from 1st to second is not smooth, but when it is warm it shifts smooth. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it?

That is normal. Almost every J do the same thing. As long as it shift smooth after it warm up, there is nothing to worry about.

What year did Infiniti fix it on the Q's? I have always said when my J30 ever goes on to that special place in the sky, I would like a Q for my next car (more room for my fat A%# too haha).

Well, not me. If my J has to go, i wish my next car would be a 03-04 M45.
