Yea I agree. It looks fine in the j30 because all the other gauges match it.

I wish you could swap on an s13 face but the numbers wont line up....

I jsut did this swap today and it works amazing! The only problem i had is i tried to move the needle over so it would match the others... yeah dont try it the part that goes into the mech part of the tack is not long enough and it sucks to get the old one back in the right spot! Also tried the speedo... no go it cant move over. but the odo did... i suddenly went from 259k to 104k... and the old one didnt even work anymore so now i can track millage!

Also tip when moving the tach over:put electrical tape on the windows on the bottom of the tach where warning lights are behind them so the lights at night dont light them up.also the only thing that bothers me is you can see light coming from the right and left saide because its not a perfect fit but hey cheap fix!

I did mine this week and I had to cut down the three litttle tabs the screws go through. It seems to sit alot flatter after I cut these down. I also used black tape all the way around and trimmed where I could not see any light. For $35.00 not bad at all.

Here is a pic of mine. I ended up pulling all the stock lame bulbs out and adding 5 ble led's to match my gauges and radio. I think it turned out well! The only thing i am not a fan of is how you can see light around the stock J30 Tach... but for 35.00 i can live with it. And now i finally know my rpm!Its alot brighter in person my camera kinda sucks!

^ did you leave the light in the clock spot?maybe that will brighten up the gauge more, i know you got those symbols covered on the new tach so those wont show

Yeah i thought about that... the crap part is the factory j30 gauge has a green back on it (because factor it lights up green) that is why it lights up a little more dim then the rest but hey it works! Ill add another led behind it to make it a bit brighter next time i pull it out of the car.
