Due to ignorance. I decided to tackle the sunroof repair all by myself. It is a MONSTER to fix. I plan on putting a how-to doument on my website but I have one last issue to fix.

I've made the repair, put everything back in but it looks like the sunroof door is not quite lining up with the roof opening. The back of the door seems to be about 5/8" low and the front is about 1/8" too far back. How do I go about adjusting the door to match the roof opening? I had marked the locations of the bolts that hold the sunroof assembly in place and used those markings when putting everything back.

Thanks. I answered my own question. Turns out that the motor was tilting the door too far down (after my reinstall).

To fix it, I tilted the door up until it lined up with the roof opening. I then removed the sunroof motor from the sunroof rail and pushed the switch to "tilt" the window all the way down. Since the motor was not attached to the rail, it didn't move the cables so the sunrooof lid stayed in place.

Now that the motor was in it's fully closed state. I put it back on the rail. Now when you tilt up and down, the sunroof lid lines up with the roof opening.
