J30 owners, how long did your front and back strut/shock absorbers last? My had about 110,000 miles and I am just wondering if I should get them changed.

Thanks

I plan on replacing mine in about a month cause I gonna put 18" on my 1994 J30 so my advice to you would be replace before you are forced to replace but you got about 20 more thousand to go.

When going with a bigger set of wheels, make sure to get a real nice set of tires. The ride quality really decreases the more wheel you have, less tire (from personal experience)!

My rears are still originals in great shape. But then again, since 2001, my J has basically been a spring/summer/early fall driver that only comes out in nice weather.

I changed all four on my 97 at 105,000 miles because the ride was real bouncy...when I went over small bumps or hills in road the car would go up and down like a horse on a carousel...it should go up and down just once....

My J has about 126k on it and the front struts are shot. The rears feel OK though. If you don't do it now you will be doing it shortly.
