I just replaced the stereo in my 94 J30. Now 1 of the rear speaker is getting noisy after 5 minutes of running. Any help is appreciated.

yeah the amps for the rear speaker are just attached to their backs. you can see it in the trunk if you take the rectanglular panel off.

did you replace it with another bose, or an aftermarket one?

if you put in an aftermarket one and kept the stock speakers without bypassing their separate amps..... well i hope that if you did the install yourself, or whoever did it, you used an ohm converter.

if not, thats your problem and the amp is probably ruined.

My 93 J30 periodically makes a blaring bass sound when turned on. It just happened again today, but the noise started while I was driving and listening to the radio. The bass is so loud, I can't hear anything else, and I have to turn off the system so I don't go deaf. The only thing that resolves it temporarily is to turn off the car, remove the key, and then turn back on. This has happened a few times now - very sporadic. Could this be a problem with my rear amps as well? Everything is stock.
