Hi:I have a 94 J30, with 59k miles on it. When the car is on park, the cars tremors a bit when I press on the gas at approximately 1600 to 1800 rpm and then at 2200 to 2400 rpm. I put my hand on the steering wheel and I can feel a slight tremoring at these rpms.

It does the same when I drive it. I jsut had new rotors and pads put in the front, because the car used to vibrate when i braked, thats fixed. I have also done the wheel balancing. The mounts look o.k. Do you thing there is a problem with the brake work, or there may be a problem with the fuel injectors.

The transmission shifts just fine. a year ago I changed the spark plugs, used oem ones, transmission pan drop, filter change and fluid change (Mobil 1 ATF). Is there a problem or am I just being paranoid. I donot have the repair manual that comes with the car. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

If it does the same thing in park as in drive, I'd think in terms of motor mounts, transmission mount, or exhaust hangers. Even with low mileage cars, the rubber components are almost a decade old now.

You mentioned that the mounts look OK, but they're hard to tell by sight. They don't typically break or crack. A good intake cleaning and injector cleaning is always a good idea - and that may help just by making the engine smoother, although in my experience an injector problem will show up more at idle than at higher RPMs.

My 95J doesn't have tremors or vibrations, but more of what I would call a wabble or shimmy. But this only happens up to about 25-30 mph then straightens out. Just did the brakes and have a vibration when braking....think it's the bearings for that. Also, was reading some of the other posts and think maybe I need to replace the shaft. Also new tires, balance, and allignment, so no shakes at higher speeds. The bearings and shaft needing replaced sound about right? It does have 105k on it so it's probably past time.

I agree, it vibrate ever so slightly till about 30-35 mph, and then at higher speeds it not there. May be they did not balance the wheels right. Also, because I was having the vibration during braking I replaced the front pads and rotors that problem is solved. I plan to drive it like it is and then have wheels balanced again in a couple of months. Hope this does not cause any harm.

Thanks for the input guys!

I've had mine balanced and rotated numerous time because I thought that could be causing it....but it never went away. That's what makes me think I need to replace the drive shaft. Also, since I just did my brakes, I have a vibration when braking and figure that's cause the rotors were turned and now flatter all the way around and rubbing maybe caused by the bearings needing replaced. If this sounds wrong to anyone let me know, could save me some $$$.
