i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem, i keep my car in an underground garage all year, i have noticed that when it is raining, the car would run fine when i start it in the garage, but when i come out, the car would run rough, also i have noticed that the gas milage is bad in bad weather "rain, or high humidity in the summer, although winter is okay milage", any tips on what i should check or do to fix this problem, thank you all

Check your MAF.

Somehow the air mixture with fuel is not mixing right.

What type of air filter are you running?

You change you air filter on every oil change?? You don't chage your oil every 10-15K miles, do you? Cause a air filter would last that long.As of the cleaner for the MAF sensor, i use some Carburetor Cleaner, from some parts store.

Dont use the carb cleaner it might actually eat away at the hot wire element on the MAF,

like yoda posted use non residue, an electrical cleaner is the best.

thank you for all your replies, and a reply to NismoChi's question, i use synthetic oil, so i change every 7000 Kms, and i noticed that if it is changed often "the air filter", the gas milage stays at an almost constant level, it doesnt hurt to spend an extra 8$ every oil change to have a better milage i'm gonna work on the car this weekend, i'll take some photos of the MAF cleaning, and some photos of the car "just got a GPS and a screen installed, i did the installation, not too fansy but it does the job"...... i'm gonna use the no res. electric cleaner "better safe than sorry" thanks

I'm a little new to the J30 team, but I have a 1994 J30 with 202,000 miles. I'm doing my hardest to keep it running as long as I can. Yoda, I would like to also clean the MAF myself. Where is the MAF?? is it under the gray cover in the Front Hood. Let me know how to get there and what to do when I'm there. I will be buying the Zero residue contact cleaner.

Anyways, I did a fuel injections cleaning, alignment and a oil change. I'm really thinking of doing a Air flow system maitenance it's to do one. How much would it be if I go to a certified ASE establishment.

if you follow the intake path , driver side front you will see a square box with a connector attached. That's the Maf. I you disconnect the hose clamp you can bend it up enough to see into the Maf. It has a screen that you have to spray through .Very SImple. Just dont blast it to hard , just enough to get the crud of of the element.
