j30 rpm tach install...??

Didn't someone do this??? I bought a rpm tach out of a j30 today at the yard.

i did. just take out your old cluster, remove the tach and put the j30 one in. if you want, you can cut it so you can put the clock back in

it doesnt fit perfect, and the needle is a different color. i just covered the gaps with black electrical tape and covered up the lights on the bottom as well. ghetto yeah i know, but you dont even notice it. but for 10$ shipped i cant complain for a tach that reads perfect and has about the right redline

will it work in the sohc 89 cluster? i tryed yesterday and it didnt work.

forgot to attach the engine grnd. the whole time i was shifting gears by ear i had about 2 thousand rpms left.
