J30: replacing fuel injector.... (NICO noob)

hi!

i'm a newbie to this forum and to infinitis in general. i have an infiniti with a bad 5th injector and i need to replace it. i've worked on Honda Bseries engines before and have even rebuilt a dodge v8 ... so basically i should be able to do the fuel injectors. so does anybody have a write up on replaceing fuel injectors on the J30? a link, or ANYTHING? or if anybody has done this before just help me out.. lol well thanks in advance.

Do a search on J30 and look for Carlos_Knology website at fuzzycats.

Welcome to the board. There is a ton of information to be discovered by a thorough reading of the previous posts.

actually, i frequent a couple of other forums... so i know better than to post before i do a search. i searched for fuel injectors but nothing came up that seemed to do with the subject.

hey thanks! i'll get my new injector from him for sure.

ey, btw - wtf is up with that link? directions are only like 3/4 of a page long and it tells you how to find out which injecter is F'd up and then tells you to take off the TB cover and thats it. wtf!? isnt there more to it?

It covers everything. Update adobe? If it still doesn't work I will turn the pdf into 6 jpegs and email it to you

Technical service bulletin...... Basically their common problems they had with particular years/models....... They gave them to the dealer to let them know of known common problems.......

VERY helpful tidbits....... They are much more detailed than the FSM........

wow you infiniti guys are a different bunch of people!

i'm VERY impressed. im also a member of the rx7 forum, the dodge forum, the wrx forum, but frequent mostly at the jeep forum. i gotta tell you that out of all those forums it's you and the jeep forum that is actually willing to help out a guy! lol

yeah jeepers are a different bunch too. FYI, i have a 14 second Grand Cherokee that should be hitting around to 300hp and 380lb/ft

no offense to you guys, but i just smoked a brand new g35 in a standstill to 80mph (40mph limit) hehehe...

but yeah, i'll send you the email so that i can get this done with. i love the j30 for a cruiser its a sexy car lol
