i dont have pics but i just did a j30 front hub fitted with a 240sx wheel bearing. Heres what i did

1. Get the j30 hub and take out the snap ring and break the ABS ring2. press out that bearing3.press in the 240sx bearing, make sure it goes in all the way, you will need a used bearing or something to push it all the way down. Push it down from the outer race not the middle part.

the problem i fell into was that the 240sx bearing was a little longer than the j30 one and i wasnt able to put the snap ring back on. But when I went to put the hub on the knuckle, it looked like a perfect fit (Its hard to explain). Its on my car now and I had it for about a week with no problems

At least with this i know the front works. Not sure on the back.

Wtf are you talking about?

There is no need for a long term report unless the person who installed it is somehow a complete idiot.

Er... but then again...

Dude, install the stuff and you're fine.

No worries.

Just to clarify J30 and Q45 rear shouldn't be used in one sentence. They are completelly different. They both fit onto 240sx, but axles and hubs are none interchangeable between J30 and Q45. , All this info is on this forum, you just have to read between the lines. I also believe this is in how to section.

S13 front to 5-lug, I have no idea, I my self I'm running S14 spindles on my S13 with S14 hubsS14 front 4-lug and 5-lug use same bearings, just need the hubs it self.S13 and S14 both use same hubs and axles, they are interchangeable, J30, Q45, Z32 N/A, and Z32 TT, hubs are a bolt on. Only J30 and Z32N/A are the only ones you can use with stock axles.

He's using OEM parts that are made to last for thousands upon thousands of miles.

He isn't doing anything special for the most part.

There is a difference between, "Being smart" and having common sense.

Now if he were asking for a long term report on say Ichiba 5 lug conversion hubs, then I would understand and even give a detailed report.

But we are talking OEM parts that pretty much interchange with no problem.

whats with the hate? Is there anything wrong in being sure? There is no such thing as a stupid question. But judging from the post midnightouge posted, that was posted last year june. I'm sure if somethign went wrong the OP would have said something

i know that it is an oem part but aren't you customizing it to make it work in a s13 model.

(placham) so are you saying that i can use the j30 rear hub without changing my axles too because i know i can use the z32 hubs

i had this same question so i bought the rear knuckles from a j30 the only difference i could find between the 2 was the 5 lug hub is pressed in not bolted on, no problem, and the piece that the strut bolts to uses a nut the j30 uses a bolt again no problem just go to Lowes and find a bolt to match other than that the knuckles are the same I'm finishing up the rear tonight and the front is how everyone is saying just buy the front hubs press out the bearing and press in the 240 bearing and put it back onto the car no problem

Cody, so did you need to buy the whole rear spindle/knuckle or could I just pull out the hub and axle?
