J30 Q's

I have just joined the forum and am exited to have finally found you all. I have a 96 J30 and am getting ready to do some work. Any tips or heads up on the problems about to be addressed would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

1) Brake Pads and Rotor replacement

2) Popping from front steering. Not sure if I need to replace whole Rack & Pinion or not.

3) Tranny issues.....car stalls out SOMETIMES when making sudden stops from slow speeds.

4) Torn boots on front suspension

Do you drive a Maxima J30 Chassis# or an Infiniti J30?

That is a good question Palmer. How would I go about finding out? I was not even aware that there were two different chassis.

If your car is an Infiniti it is a J30, If it is so, you should be posting in this section:
