J30 Power Steering belt squeals -help please

My '93 J30 PS belt squeals on start-up after beling left sitting overnight or 8 hours or so. It squeals for 3-6 seconds and then everything is fine. Steering feel is fine, I swapped the PS control unit for another heavy steering problem but this did nothing to improve this problem. I bought this car not running and am working out the bugs now that it is going again. Ideas anyone?? Uh, the belt is tight enough by the way.

How new is the belt??

The belt is new and I've adjusted it mutiple times to ensure it was/is not too loose. It is too tight now in my opinion.

Did you spill some coolant or any fluid on the belt ? If you did, drive it for a week or so for it to dry out or just replace it..

The belt will expand. Do not overadjust the tension. Just adjust it basic for you will have to readjust it in a couple of weeks for the final setting. If the squeal happens constant, check the pulleys..
