No, I'm not thinking about putting a carbon fiber hood on the J. I was just wondering what it may look like.

Enjoy!

Pito, I think Miniman did such a photochop on his Q45. Check out the gallery.

There was also a recent post of the REAL thing. I think it was from a Yahoo Japan auction. But if I remember correctly, you participated on that thread.

Carlos you are correct about the japan auction Q. But I want to see a Q with BMW projectors only, not with the body work. With the body work they did it didnt look good. Miniman's photoshop looks nice they way he rounded out the front and back. It really updates the Q.

Man, I'm getting no love from the J30 owners.. I sort of like the FX45 wheel look. Too bad they'd look ridiculous in the J30's smallish fenders.

sorry, i havent been in here in a little while.

looks nice, i wouldnt mind the CF hood. too bad the stock hood is aluminum, not as much weight savings over a steel hood.

i wish there was a subtle body kit for the J30.

nothing major, just straightening out the front bumper, opening up the lower air intake, and an air dam.

i had a j30 photochop of a green 94 with an intercooler. came out decent. i suck at drawing anything other than schematics [electrical].

the FX wheels look awesome. too bad they are probably REAL heavy.

ill try to work up something along the lines of what i would like.

What ? no love ? Says who.. Looks sharp with your photochop... I've been busy trying to install a remote start and Pioneer Sys 910 Navi system in my J30t. Not to mention I had to remove a half-a** install of a mitsubishi analog phone from the previous owner.. while I was there. I resoldered the door lock timer and the dimmer switch.. fixed both issues where the dash lights were flickering and the car would lock on it's own with th engine running...

man, i suck. for the life of me, i cannot get this intercooler to look right in the bumper.

compounded by the fact that i cant draw for ****.

I know what you mean. My PS skills are marginal at best. Helps to look at the many freebie tutorials on the web.

Metaverse, sounds like you've been busy. At that rate you'll be a J30 pro in no time - if not already. Keep up the good work.

Carlos, I LOVE your J. I think it'd look SWEET with the 03-04 chrome Q rims (but I'm biased).

Damn sweet (and underrated) car.

I have a question. Can carbon fiber body panels be painted? Does it take a finish? Just incase someone wanted to take advantage of weight benifit but didn't like the look of the carbon fiber.

Gracias Señor Hitman. I think you're right, it would probably look nice with those chrome rims.

i have photoshop CS. i just use it to touch up pictures before i print them. i used to use it all the time in high school, but i have forgotten many of the finer points of photoshop since then.

i think the J would look really good in that pewter color that the FX comes in. either that, or the blueish silver from BMW.
