Having a couple of issues with the parking lights on my 94 J30T. Both front parking lights went out at the same time and just one side marker is lite. Do these lights run in a series? How do I check the bulbs to see if they are burned out?

No, they don't run in series.

Pull the bulbs out and replace with new.

Thanks swimshark..... I hav been looking all over the Internet and can't find anything. I look at them myself and it looked like I would have to take half the freaking' electrical out of the front end.... Seemed to much work to check the bulbs seeing how I don't think it is illegal to have no parking lights in illinois where I live.

Thnx in advance

Disclaimer: the side of the car I could get pics from easily is the side that kissed the side of a mtn so my bumpers are messed up.

All you need is a small flathead screwdriver.

For the front, you will stick the screwdriver in the location shown below. You can put a cloth on the bumper where the screwdriver will be touching so you have less change of messing up the paint.

Then pop the light out

Then all you have to do it twist the bulb holder out of the lens

For the rear you will stick the screwdriver in the location shown below and do the same things as the front marker

Thanks alot. Do you happen to know if the front blinkers come out the same way? The ones that you replaced with your old grill. Also do you know if they are dual element bulbs that come on with the headlights?

Thnx

the front blinkers are held in by 2 10mm nuts. you have to drop the debris shield on either side (held up by the 3 phillips head screws per side). you need either a 10mm wrench or a deep socket 10mm.

the headlights (low and high beam) are both single element. the low is the 9006 and the high is a 9007 single.
