Any of you j30 guys replace the tension rod bushings before ??I see no reason in replacing the whole rod unless its warped or something ..Mine are dry and cracked like the dirt out in my back yard .. nuk nuk

I'm here... finally.

Yodawill2000, I replaced just the bushings like you're thinking about. Joe sells just the replacement bushings. The replacements are not silicone-filled, they're rubber but worked fine. The tricky part is pressing it in. I just took the car to T3 in Atlanta with the bushings and had them replace it while they were doing other stuff.

I don't think you'll find them on the website. Just call the toll-free number and they'll hook you up. I don't remember the cost. I think it's somewhere around $15-20 per bushing.

Much cheaper than replacing the entire tension rod (what my nearest Infiniti dealer suggested). This dealer also claimed it was impossible to just replace the bushing. Of course, I then called them with a part number from Joe (after ordering from Joe) just to see what they'd say. They said, "our system won't let us order that part number".

Hello, I have a 1994 J30 and I am having a problem starting it. When I crank it the security light goes on and won't start. How do I reset the security system? It is a factory installed system.
