If I let mine sit for a week or so I get the same symptoms. I usually get it to start with a combination of pumping the gas and feathering it out as it starts to turn over. I then have to keep the rpm up until it warms up and stops blowing smoke all over. Sometimes it has felt like I was going to kill the battery but it has always started before I had to pull out jumpers. My wife, on the other hand, can never get it started after sitting and will run out the battery...girls.
I do note that it seems to be a fuel delivery problem which I have heard called "vapor lock." Which seems a lot to me like being flooded. IF you do a search for "vapor lock" it might point you how to get around this.
For whatever reasons these cars do not like to sit for long periods of time. Good luck and I hope this helps.
