I was at the junk yard today and saw an infiniti J30 with the maf sensor in it. Will this work the same as a z32 sensor being that it also came from a VG30DE? Has anyone tried it??

No, there are like 15 different MAFS for VG30's. The Z32 MAFS only came on Z32's. Anything else would be kind of pointless.

hmmm thats wrong info dude. The J30 mafs will work fine up until like 1996. As long as the number on the orange, yellow, red etc label ends in N62 then it will work. Just look for N62 on it. Thats the one Jim wolfe and enthalpy uses to tune with. The N62 is what youll find on the 300zx and a lot of the j30s. I hope this helps.

Upon further research the USDM J30 MAFS is the same as the Z32 MAFS. But it has nothing to do with the N62 on the label, it has to do with the serial number 22680-30P00.

With that info I just drove to an old abandoned junkyard and nabbed a free MAFS off a junked J30.

Just for future reference the Japanese J30, JPY32, that has a VG does not use the 300ZX MAFS.

Sorry I didn't search before I made a post but I did a search on car-parts.com and I searched for a 92 300zx and the cross refrence with the j30 air flow sensor. So I thought I would just state that if it helps any.
