I have searched this forum and a couple others and can not seem to get a straight forward answer. I have come across a 94 J30 LSD w/axles and I want to make sure that it will bolt right up and fit my car. I have a 95 240sx. Thanks a lot.

I hate it when people say this without explainging that the differential is like an inch longer than the stock 240sx differential, because of the abs sensor. Technically it will bolt up, but it's not gonna fit like stock.

I would reccomend swapping internals.

How difficult is swapping the internals? Also, I would still need to use the J30 output flanges and axles right? Thanks.

It will still bolt up and fit the car... If he wanted extremely technical details and explanations, he could have just referred to the detailed write up on 240sx.org or somewhere else on this forum that had alllll the little things you need to do when swapping.

I swapped a j30 into my car, plenty of slack w/ the stock mounts, especially since they are worn from to years to compensate for the extra length of the differential. 3 track events so far on these, and everything is great... I haven't really seen anyone that has had a problem w/ the length of the diff so I figured it wouldn't be an issue w/ his install.

Swapping internals isn't that hard, but you will want to use an air gun (easier to remove & torque bolts), and possibily new seals and gaskets if anything goes wrong.
