j30 lsd question

Hello, I am currently thinking about pulling an what I think is an lsd from a 94 j30 at my local junkyard, My question is do all j30's have lsd's? I crawled under and looked for the orange sticker but there wasn't one from what I could see. And when I spun the axles, they spun in opposite directions. From what I gathered from searching around the forum is that if it is an lsd then the axles are supposed to spin in the same direction. Is the someone who can clear this up for me? Is it a lsd on the 94 j30 I'm looking at or not? Thanks in advance. And yes I have searched the forum.

some LSD only engage when you apply torque on them.Which mean if spun, it will spun opposite direction.

Not sure what kind of LSD j30 has

If they spin in the same direction its an lsd. IF not than it is not. The actual lsd put into the J30 (if it had lsd) is a R200V model but with a higher final gear. Im not sure if all had them but make sure they spin in the same direction cause mine does.

Yes.. all j30's have vlsd.

If you wanna get that differential, you'll also neet the axles to put it into your 240(It has the 5-bolt pattern whereas your car has 6)

Well I went ahead and pulled the damn thing anyways. I had to cut the driveshaft and invest in a 2 ft breaker bar, but it was welll worth it. Also has anyone actually checked the pre 95 j30's for the 5 or 6 bolt patterns? Because this one had the 6 bolt pattern and it was definately a 94.

Blake!! hey man your not gonna believe how much the junkyard charged me for the lsd. It was a painkilling 35 bucks!!! I was liked damn straight!

First the 40 dollar shell then this. You or Zac call me about this weekend.

That's awesome news about the 6 bolt, and Zach should be in touch tomorrow (Friday) because he needs to rape the 5spd bits off the shell so we can get his damn 'vert on the road.

I just ordered the RB20 clip today so it's on.

Btw, you haven't seen any junked Q45's lately, have ya?
