I need differential bushings.. 1 ear is empty, 1 has the bushing...

Any idea what I can put in there instead of paying $200 for a set?

http://splparts.com/main4/index.htmScroll to the bottom of the the page. My J30 diff was missing a bushing too, plus, supposedly, it's possible for the bushing to tear when you use the J30 diff on the S13 (even if you use longer bolts and washers to brace). This set is solid alum alloy and will never need replacing. The ride isn't any different than stock (since the stock diff housing is solid). I paid $99 for these shipped express. Well worth it IMO. The fit was perfect on one ear, and slightly hard to get in on the other. A rubber mallet and block of wood worked fine, or you could put them in the freezer for an hour or so to shrink the metal a bit.

I found some Mustang bushings that fit perfectly... For free... From a friend :-)

I paid $30 for the LSD, why would I pay $99 for a small piece of metal?

well, good to know that those bushings work. I've never seen a J30 diff that worked go for $30 either.

Ill get the part number from a friend.

I have a friend that works at a salvage yard. All internals of this dif look good, and functions as it is supposed to..

They normally sell them for $100 to $200 - but I know the guy so :-)
