There was an extensive discussion a while back on some of the differences. Do a search using "J30 differences" and three threads pop up.

the weight difference is likely a dry (no fluids) versus my measurement including oil, coolant, and gasoline.

yeah the taillamp change is very small, its hard to even notice the difference. also , at some point after 1994, i think an autodimming rear mirror was introduced.

I think the taillights were changed for the 95 year but the change is very subtle. The J was too much for Nissan with all their financial woes at the time. When the they dropped the HICAS they added other creature comforts to both models.

Well, well, everybody. let me finally say hello. I've been reading these forums for over a year now, and just finally decided to post. i'm from Calgary, Canada, and i'm also a hardcore Jt owner, and have been since senior year!

i've had great luck with my J, and have had many ideas on mods. my baby's a 93 J30t, black on black (oh yea), with 18" Lexani Roma 235/40/18 S-02's in front, and 275/40/18 in back. with the hicas, the car sticks like glue.

haven't done the engine yet, gonna start that this winter, but i've also heard of a twinturbo J here in alberta. it was done with custom manifolds and turbos from a 3ZX. i found the mechanic that did the job, but have yet to find the car.

i love my J, as does everyone else who has ever seen it (esp the ladies.... hehe) the smooth curves, sumptous interior, bucket rear seats, and the fact that i can beat all the stupid rice rockets, gets amazing street cred.

i have pics, and i hope they work. old pics were with 16" neeper syncros (first set of rims).

she's been through everything with me, and i don't think i'll ever sell this car. i'm coming up to 200 Km, and it runs flawless. just had it looked over, and recieved a comment that is was the best condition mechanically he's ever seen. i guess i was lucky to end up with this beauty. nothing ever out of the ordinary, just changed my starter, but that's about all. and i live in cold, icy conditions! my transmission runs perfect, HICAS is still goin well, and nothing rubs, that's the MAX size tire you can put on a J, for all u who were wondering. she's even been broken into and they stole my heat/AC controls, in winter! yikes.

tons more stuff to say, but ill save some for later....

like me and all mah friends know, when u drive nissan, u own the road.

obviously, infiniti is included.

And hi to diamond and vimy. i admire the work you guys have done on your J's. diamond.... u just crazy, man... i wish i had half the stuff you get to enjoy.

das, very nice setup so far, the max rim/tire size info is CLUTCH for me, i was wondering if the 275/40's would acutally fit up in back.

just noticed that ive got the same foglights as you.

J30-TT! I HOPE THIS IS TRUE...ever since i have owned the car it has been my dream to put twin turbos in, but i have never actually seen it acomplished. i knew custom fabricated manifolds are the key.

i have so many questions, i almost would like to get in contact with this mechanic. what i mean, is that i would PAY to know how it was done. I would definitley buy the manifolds from him, if he could reproduce them. hell, i would buy 2 sets.

any details you have, let us know!!!

did they swap in a VG30DE-TT and change out the manifolds...cause otherwise without changing pistons or getting a thicker head gasket, we can only run about 7psi=nothing.

good to have you here, man.

i will finally post some long delayed pictures of my car (in about a week)

now i wont be able to sleep, twin turbocharged J30s spinning around in my head are WAY too cool.

Welcome Das_Amaretto, glad you spoke up. Have you spoke with Diamond through the yahoo sites? he must be real busy lately because he hasn't been around in a while. You got a beautiful J30 there. You should send your pics to:http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....e.htm

Hope to hear more from ya!
