J30 left front window regulator

I have a 1997 Infiniti J30 with about 270,000 miles. My mechanic tells me that the motor is OK, and he also warned me about poor-quality window regulators. The only regulator he can find is about $300, and with labor the entire job will be at least $600. Are there any reputable suppliers of window regulators which are less expensive? Chris

That's not out of line for the regulator / motor combo, price-wise, but there's no reason you couldn't do the swap yourself.

I'm not finding any good ones under $270.

Chris , mac here , I think I have a right side regulator, I acquired about $1800 of various spare J30 parts (dirt cheap)from a valued friend - an INFINITI mechanic who moved away from Phx area !
Get the correct part # ( I forget if Fr & Rr LEFT regulators are same? ), gotta sift through storage , I would check , lube , and run it up/down to be sure it's ok.....probably ask $75 ??
You pm me for further back/forth info ?
