Folks: Got a 94 J30 (beautiful & perfect) except recently the trunk area where the tool kit is stored (behind the drivers side wheel well) is filling with water. I have no idea where this might be coming from other than from the REAR sunroof drains, or, the drain tube connectors to those drains. I have read how to clean the front drains, does anyone have any idea how to clean the REAR sunroof drains, and/or, how to replace the drain tube connector if that is the problem? Does anyone have a better theory about the source of the water?

Welcome to NICO!!!!

Is the area around your power antenna assembly sealed nicely? How about the rubber lining your trunk, is it pliable without cracks and does its still seal tight?

Any resolution on this issue? I have noticed mine was damp the other day.

FOUND IT!!!!!!!Damn... blew out all the sunroof drains with air (good to do anyway), but not it. Finally, found a rubber plug inside the compartment where the tools are kept that actually has a weep (drain) at the bottom. It was clogged. The only way you'll know it is there is to stick your hand way down low in the compartment (where my water was building up & then sloshing out) and it is on the compartment wall all the way at the bottom facing the inside of the car. Pushed it out (fell on ground) and cleaned it. DRY! Happy frigging guy now.
