Long time no talk to NICO peeps! I still have my J and need some advice/tips. Recently my car started idling rough about a week ago and am trying to figure out what the problem may be. I've since changed all 6 spark plugs, which seemed to help a little, but not entirely. I've read that the coil packs may need to be swapped, and that I may need to change my fuel injectors. I have about 98k miles on the car, if that makes a difference.

Considering that I doubt I have the tools, let alone the know how to change the injectors, should I invest in replacing the coil packs, or just take my car to a mechanic?

Welcome back BT !!!

First step would be ohming out the injectors to see if they are in spec. Way easy if you have a Meter. Also replacing the Fuel filter and running some Redline SL1 through the tank might help. Then there's cleaning the throttle body's ect

Using tier 1 gas ?? 91 or better ?Crappy gas will cause all sorts of idle weirdness.

Welcome back Big Tone!!!

Your fuel injectors should be in the 10-14 ohm range, anything above or below signals injector failure.
