I have a 1995 J30 which I recently purchased with only 48k on it, when the car is cold acceleration is great, after about 10-15 min, once hot it has severe hesitation from a stop. When I push the pedal down to about half throttle it jumps up and accellerates fast. I have taken it to the dealer and they say that they cannot "replicate" the problem after charging me 200 for a fuel injector and intake cleaning. There are no error codes. I cleaned the MAF sensor and the car does not look like it is running hot (temp gauge at about 2/5 when all the way warmed up. The idle is OK and fuel efficiency is around 17 mpg average (I have a heavy foot) All fluids look and smell ok and there do not appear to be any disconnected vacume hoses. Any advice or input would be GREATLY appreciated. (Some posts here have pointed at the camshaft position sensor but I cant find it on the engine and I am having trouble finding a engine skematic)---Chris

welcome to nicolet me just say the cam sensor is on the drivers side cyl bank in the front. it should have a little mitsu 3diamond thingy(heresy i know) on it. the z32 is quite similar to your car and it had problems with the coolant temp sensor and associated harness. you can get both for less than $100 if i remember correctly. if you need any more help the guys over in the infiniti online mechanic can prob help you out quite a bit.
