I would like to brighten up my nights. Have any of you used the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs on a J30? I'm curious as to which bulb works best. I don't need to look cool, just want more light at night. Thanks.

Do the Silverstar lights burn out much faster than OEM?

They will burn out faster... but they still are Ok... Some people have had them for 1 year+ and still burning bright...

Just remember not to touch them with your fingers... You gotta wear gloves or something....

For $40 cant really go wrong....

I would get silverstars. I'm a firm beleiver in not fixing what isn't broken and still have my stock low and high beams. If I need to replace any time soon, I would get silverstars. I've read some good reviews on this site and others. Do a search.

Since they're the same wattage I wouldn't think Silverstars would burn out faster... I've been running mine for over a year now. (Watch them burn out tomorrow)

My bulbs are 9 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why won't they burn out? The projector lens high beams are still incredible to see.

I'm with Heath on this one. Same manufacturter as OEM, seem to be same heat range, don't see why they would burn out any sooner than OEM.

I have Silverstars on my J30. They are great. Seriously are so much better thab the OEM ones. I have all heard good things about the PIAAs. Can anyone back that up?

Later...
