Well it's not what you think, if you thought it was wrecked in an accident, it isn't. Its gone, sold to a new owner, they came to pick it up on Sunday.

I've owned the J for about 10-11 years. It has taken me to college, my first, 2nd and 3rd jobs, it's crossed the country as my steed a whole bunch of times on road trips, and not once EVER left me on the side of the road. Sure we had some issues to work out from time to time but it was always a positive experience. I bought it with approx. 50k miles on it and sold it with roughly 246k miles on it, running in fine condition and with her rustless mint body on Sunday evening.

Its like an old dog you have, you get it, you love the thing, you get used to having it around, but you know at some point its gotta go. So now its gone, damn I miss the J...oh well life moves fwd and onto new things...

I've had my J since basically new. Its one of the few "new" cars I have bought. Its the only car I've felt an emotional attachment to. I've though about parting with it a few times, come close and then changed my mind.

So what are you driving now?

well we weren't especially hurting for vehicles, with the J30 there we had 5 cars in the driveway, PLUS my motorcycle...I had bought a new Saab 97x suv back in Feb. to use as my primary vehicle and the trade price for the J from the dealer was way too low. It was soo low that I thought I'd keep it around in the garage and drive it from time to time, maybe once a week, insurance was cheap like $380 / year on it because we have so many cars but I ended up basically not driving it almost at all. From May to last weekend I put on about 1600km on it...that's peanuts, so I figure I'd craiglist it and see if it sells, I had more emails from buyers then I can count, I had many many offers on it too, but I was firm in my pricing, I priced it fairly and wasn't going to budge on the price...then this nice young couple came by and they snagged it, so it went to a good home in my opinion.

so in the driveway we've got the '06 Saab 97x, a '99 G20T, and '03 Matrix XRS and an old '95 Quest with 1/4 million on it...it still runs fine too with no rust !

I've still got the summer rims I bought for the J30 over the summer, I thought it might look nice with new rims and stuff, so the 17" rims/tires have maybe 1000 or 1200km on it...anyone interested? if not I'll keep them, I'm thinking maybe picked up a nice I30T or the 97-01 era Q45, I've always liked those shapes and the bolt pattern and offsets are the same. The tire size is really close as well so can probably re-use them.

Wish I knew, you where in the market for a Saab. I work for GM corporate (believe it or not). I could've gotten you some $'s off a 9-7x.

hehe its ok, I work for IBM and got the GM suppliers discount off it...was worth a few thousand off on it if I remember correctly...combine that with the fact its a 2006 model bought in Jan 07 so I got the incentives for them blowing out 2006 models, AND stack that with my GM Visa points, I got a fairly decent chunk of change off the price of the truck, LOL
