got done replacing the a/c control lights and was putting everything back in. it has an aftermarket radio and was pushing the wires for it neatly under it when it sparked from I guess an exposed portion of wire. now the radio and the gauge cluster lights dont work as well as the key chime and factory alarm. checked all related fuses for the systems not working and they were all fine. am I missing any fuses or is something else the problem? this is my first j30 but am not new to cars. oh and the car starts fine and all other lights work (overhead/door lights, and headlights) any info would help. thanx

It has to be one of your fuses, I always say check fuses with a light tester, they are cheap and you can get them at any auto parts store, probably even wal mart. I use to think that fuses were good simply because they weren't broken but they can still be bad even if they are not. Your aftermarket radio probably has a fuse on it, check that one and the one in the inside fuse box and probably another one maybe in the fuse box under the hood. Hope this helps.
