The TC possilbility seems the most likely culprit. The slight shudder is mainly occurs before the car has been driven for 12-15 minutes. When the transmission is up to temperature the shake is not noticable. I'm wondering if this could be the earliest sign of the transmission heading south?
I have had a pan drop, filter change and flushed/changed the fluid to Mobil 1 about 20K afterwards. It has 99,000 miles on it as of today. The transmission is stll performing very well, however. Tonight, I drove the J30t hard on the way home. I was following some snappy late model Buicks through light/medium traffic on a 4 lane, 50 mph highway. This route has some nice curves through about 4 miles of river valley and glacial terrain features. The J30t is a blast to drive hard. As the traffic ebbed and flowed, we moved our way through a modest amount of cars and got some clear sailing through the best of the "track". We were doing 75-80 in a loose convoy with me trailing. The J was just begging to overtake these guys! I was maintaining an agressive line (in my lane) through the curves was easily maintaining my speed while the Buicks in front of me touched or went over the lane markers. The opposing traffic was too heavy to be messing around with thoughts of passing these guys into and out of the curves, but they were going as fast as they could safely maintain. The traffic got heavier towards an intersection so we slowed down to navigate but caught the light at the posted speed. (I have refered to this sweeping right, left "S" curve after this light in other posts.) I accelerted after the intersection and a short straight, passing these new Detroit Sedans, doing 70-75, at 100 mph using all the now divided lanes into this high speed stretch. The domestics had turned into specks in my rear view mirror by the time I reached the rolling straightaway that follows the long sweepers. Beauty, eh?:naughty
