I dont think there was, you could convert your turn signals to fog lights though.

I'd seen a few J's with foglights in the opening under the license plate, I guess they were all aftermarket. Some looked really good, which is why I was wondering if there was an OEM kit.

Anyone know of a good foglight kit? I want one that looks good (obviously), none of those with the blue lenses or anything.

The guy who owned my car before me installed fog lights on the bottom lip of the front grill. To be honest, I'm not crazy about them. One issue I've had is that the grill seems to vibrate a good deal at speed, thus reducing the effectiveness of the fog lights. I've done some reinforcement work on it and probably will do some more, and maybe that will improve things. I didn't drive my J today, so I'll try to get some more info about what I have.

How are you able to get a clean picture of the manual when you can't get an unfuzzy picture of your car to save your life.

I have a set of PIAA foglights in my J. Very similiar to Infinitiandre. I think the housing is black and on a black J it looks pretty OEM. I'll have to dig up a picture.

So, my friend that's a car broker (and found me my J) is convinced that there was a factory foglight option on the late model J30t. He says that he has a brochure that will prove him right, but I haven't talked to him since Thursday.I'll be getting my income tax check pretty soon, so I'll have a bit of extra $$ for the J.

really? Ive searched everywhere on Google for OEM fogs, but i keep getting aftermarket ones. That would be cool if the OEM lights were featured in the US, instead of Japan

He claims he has the brochure and it's on there. I think he said it was on the '97 J30t, don't remember for sure.

I have a couple of north american j30/j30t brochures(the detailled one that's the size of the old "Life" magazine), I pulled them out today to check them out-in case I missed something, still can't find a factory foglight option for North America or any mention of foglights.

That's what I kept telling him, I knew it was available in Japan. He's pretty convinced that there was a foglight option in the US. I'll just have to get him to show me the brochure, and I'll try to scan what he shows me and post it.
