are all J30's final gears 3.92:1? including the pre-1995?

This Junkyard around me has a VLSD from a 1994 and they don't have a price listed, which means normally that you can tell them a price and hopefully they will say yay, but sometimes nay.

How much should I ask for one? I was thinking to just start at 100.

They're worth up to $400, in good condition. Anything under $300 is A STEAL.

yes, all J30s have the same rear end.

if you are going to be racing, (usually why 240 kids want the J30 diff), you also have these professional options:

i would 2nd the 150, 100 just sounds too low, they are usually in great condition out of J30s as well.
