okay..i got evrything disconnected except for the vlsd to driveshaft bolts and those somebeaches are stuck like crabs on carl from ATHF..any sugg., has anyone removed the vlsd before....need help asap!!!

I used an impact wrench

Came right off.....

did you have to do a lil grindin to fit the socket in..cuz my sockets wont fit in and my open endeds just aint gettin the job done w/out room for a prybar or suttin.

its a 17mm..... Fit right on...

If memory serves i may have used an 11/16 socket.....

teh?? theyre the bolts connecting the drive shaft to the vlsd..not the ones that mount the vlsd to the body...theyre 14 mm bolts n nuts...i think the ones that mounted the diff to the body were 17mm but i already got those off.sam

Ahh, obviously theyredifferent from the Q.....

The Q were 17mm... But like I said, an impact wrench is the only way to go!

I used a socket on the end of a pull bar, and a closed end wrench on the nut. With the transmission in N you can rotate the shaft so that the backer wrench will wedge against something, making sure that the bolt doesn't turn with the nut.

Good ATHF reference by the way...
