J30 dimmer bulb

Could someone tell me how to replace the dimmer bulb in the console for 94 J30. Thanks.

Hi Brian,it's the bulb to illuminate the speed, gas gauge, ... at night.

The whole dash board lighting system is out?

This could very well be related to the dimmer switch and is a well known bug. The contacts in the dimmer get corroded. You can try to fix it by cleaning the switch with electrical contact cleaner or, if that fails, by replacing the switch.

How about dashboard. Don't remember if this has been detailed for a J30.

FSM at http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/infiniti/ for a one day subscription (1995 and later?). Get all the TSB while you are there.

Dollars to doughnuts the switch is your problem. It is a well known gremlin.

Nope. I was at home all day on Monday and lovin' it! I have non-touring J wheels.
