On the J30 diff there apparently is a opening which I would assume is where the J30 Speed sensor plugs into. The diff I was looking at doesnt have the sensor attached and I wanted to know if the actual diff fluid/gear oil would pour out of that opening or if it is a consealed area from the actual diff. I am trying to find an expansion valve locally that I could plug it with, but before I unbolt it from the car I wanted to get some imput on this.

I don't think it does. I don't think mine had a rubber seal or anything so one would assume it doesn't see any fluid. My fsm didn't say anything about it either.

I didnt think so either...the area around the hole doesnt have any leakin fluid marks on it so Im assuming it wouldnt see any diff fluid but I wanted to make sure.

there is no speed sensor on the diffy... the wire that you see coming from the front of the diffy is the ABS sensor...

The abs computer uses it to determine wheel speed to know when or if to activate the abs system.
