Stronger axles. Q45 VLSD have the shorter 3.69 ration and can use the stringer axles. But in my case I am using the Q45 rear with S13 welded guts and 6 bolt axles. Its a different ring gear and pinion. The pinion is much larger.

98 s14 with a 96?(did my homework at the time forgot now) j30 diff, bolted right up, swapped out over a year ago, the difference between the ABS sensor added like 1/8 in to the diff, driveshaft fit right up, little slower on acceleration with stock KA, but makes a world of difference in my friends SR20, full grip from both wheels instead of spinning on one, no problems at all, cut off the sensor wire thingy and took off, off topic. I think j30 axles will work for 240's as well? May be slightly longer? correct me if I'm wrong
