Hey guys, i just bought 3 bottles of Redline MT-90 GL-4 transmission fluid for my s13 but i also want to change my diff oil also. Ive got an Infiniti J30 LSD. What oil is best for it and how much do i get. Ive searched but no answers, I found answers for the stock open diff dont know if they use the same oil or what not, anyways thanks for the help.

if that infinity LSD is viscous, you're ok w/ regular GL-5 gear oil w/ the proper weight rating...

how do i know if its a viscous??? Sorry its a dumb question but i just went to the junk yard and found an infinity j30 car and looked for one with the same bolt patterns. I think its an early 90's model. What would be the proper weight also? Thanks man

i 99.9% sure nissan didn't release any clutch type lsd's stock in the states. But anyway if the previous owner of the car didn't do anything to the diff it is a viscous. You could look in the fsm for the proper weight. Look for the r200v diff with viscous lsd. Came in the hicas 240 as well just different gear ratios.

edit* here it is.3 1/8 pints of API Gl-5 80w-90 Gear oil for ambient temps below 104F.
