j30 diff causing transmission leak

I did the j30 vlsd swap on my 93 240. I have read in few post that using the stock driveshaft will cause the rear seal in the transmission to leak. I am just wondering if this is just few rare cases or is it something that happens to a lot of people who have done this swap. Input?
