so a while back i gave my car to my son , who is in college ,,..i rode with him over the weekend ,, he had told me car has started causing issues ,, while driving "rpm will go zero " all check engine lights will light up car dies ,,, has been doing it over few weeks now ,, DANGEROUS he can easily get hit from behind ..

here what i noticed so : car at park rpm runs around 900 at least , kind of erratic at start high rpm them setlles around 900 takes a while thought.. i tried adjusting the throtle position sensor NOT able to set it lower them 900 at parking ..so i ordered new SENSOR thinking that might help ,,

any thoughts inputs greatly appreciated

almost forgot when he brought the car over couple of weeks ago -- oil was very low and black . noticed when i drained it maybe three quarts came out if that !!

check to see if there are any stored codes by getting a scan tool. Many auto stores will loan one, or loan one to give you a code.
Then clean the MAF, spray it clean, reinstall..
Replace spark plugs

easy stuff first.

this is an OBDI connection on this vehicle ,, places dont have the obdi scanner !!

it's worth your while to buy one....
